[Red Wing, MN] – For the sixth consecutive year, OnStar is providing U.S., Canada and Mexico subscribers the opportunity to learn Santa’s whereabouts on his journey across the globe Christmas Eve.  With the press of the blue OnStar button, Red Wing, MN drivers can be informed of Santa’s location at that moment in time.

Through collaboration with the North American Aerospace Defense Command’s (NORAD) Tracks Santa program anyone with an active OnStar subscription can request a “Santa Update” between 7 a.m. on December 24 until 5 a.m. EST on December 25. OnStar advisors will provide Santa’s location based on NORAD’s official Santa Radar Plot Map.

“My 2-year-old son has finally reached the age where he is excited about Santa,” said Keitha Martin, a GMC Acadia owner and OnStar subscriber. “This year we will be following Santa’s journey to deliver his gifts through OnStar. My husband and I are just as excited for this magical experience!”

This year for each Santa call received, OnStar will donate a dollar to United Way for Southeastern Michigan.

New, upscale fabric seat inserts are offered on 1SB and 1SD trims for 2015.

Red Wing, Oct. 2, 2014 – In the spirit of teamwork taught by youth sports, Red Wing Chevrolet Buick Cadillac is teaming up with Red Wing Hockey Association to provide players and coaches with hockey equipment kits that include hockey pucks, t-shirts and knit caps, a sponsorship check and an opportunity for community members to enter the free Ultimate Pro Hockey Experience sweepstakes.

Red Wing Chevrolet Buick Cadillac and other Minneapolis-St Paul-area Chevrolet dealerships are donating these items to participating leagues in the area.

Each of the sponsored leagues across the region will receive 2,000 free sweepstakes entry forms to distribute within the community.  At the end of two entry periods, one in December and one in February, four lucky winners will receive Minnesota Wild game tickets or gear from Minnesota Hockey.

After the February entry period, one winner from the Minneapolis-St Paul area will win the Ultimate Pro Hockey Package, which includes four tickets to a Minnesota Wild game, in addition to hotel accommodations and all-access passes.

“The 2015 Chevrolet Colorado offers some of the best EPA fuel economy estimates of any pickup in a fun-to-drive, easy-to-own package,” said Tony Johnson, Colorado marketing manager. “The Colorado proves you don’t have to buy a lot of expensive technology to save money at the pump.”

For V-6 pickups with automatic transmissions, which make up the majority of midsize truck sales, the 2015 Chevrolet Colorado offers highway fuel economy 3 to 5 mpg better than competitors.

2015 Chevrolet Suburban Delivers Unprecedented Performance To Customers

Red Wing, MN – For almost eight decades, the Chevrolet Suburban has been known for its stout performance, but the new 2015 Suburban, now available at Red Wing Chevrolet, offers even more power and capability.

“The Suburban is synonymous with great power and towing capacity,” said Brad Banitt of Red Wing Chevrolet. “But with the new EcoTec3 V-8 and a number of chassis refinements, the 2015 Suburban is stronger, more powerful, and more efficient than ever before.”

All 2015 Suburban’s are powered by a new EcoTec3 5.3L V-8. The all-aluminum engine incorporates a number of state-of-the-art technologies, including direct injection, cylinder deactivation, and continuously variable valve timing. As a result, this new 5.3-liter engine produces 355 horsepower and 383 lb-ft of torque, nearly 35 hp and 20 lb-ft more than the previous generation 5.3L V-8.

Better yet, those increases in power are paired with increases in fuel economy. 2WD 2015 Suburban’s are EPA-rated at 16 mpg in the city and 23 mpg on the highway. That amounts to roughly a 10-percent increase in highway mileage over the previous Suburban, and 7-percent greater city mileage.

Customers looking to put that power to work, especially when towing, will appreciate a number of other revisions made to the 2015 Suburban. All models receive a stronger fully-boxed perimeter frame, along with aluminum front suspension control arms that are 10-percent stiffer than comparable steel items. A wider rear track results in a more planted stance, while standard 18-inch wheels are a half-inch wider, delivering improved cornering performance.

2WD 2015 Suburban’s are capable of towing a stout 8300 pounds, 5 percent more than the previous model. While all Suburban’s are equipped with a standard 2-inch receiver hitch as standard equipment, an available Max Trailering Package adds an air-leveling rear suspension, a 3.41:1 rear axle ratio, and an integrated trailer brake controller.

Red Wing, MN– The 2014 Chevrolet Silverado’s next-generation MyLink gives Red Wing, MN area customers the best of both worlds when it comes to infotainment. MyLink provides easy, intuitive operation of basic functions, yet it is also highly customizable and capable of linking up to 10 devices such as smartphones, SD cards and MP3 players, giving customers more ways to stay connected.

Silverado’s MyLink is one of the first to use of natural language voice recognition technology, which enables customers to safely place calls, enter destinations, browse media, play music and control other functions simply by telling the vehicle what to do. There are no key phrases to remember and no need to look at a screen. MyLink also can be operated via a touch screen, with large, clearly labeled knobs, or through integrated steering wheel controls.

The system can store up to 60 favorites including radio stations (AM/FM/XM), contacts, destinations, music and other media – a convenient feature for those who travel to the same destination regularly and want to save locations.

The graphic treatment of the MyLink screen and the Driver Information Center in the instrument cluster can be customized to one of four distinct personalities, depending on who’s behind the wheel and how the Silverado is being used – Main Street (default setting), Contemporary, Edge and Velocity.

One of the most noticeable additions to the new Silverado is the available high-resolution, full-color touch-screen display radio that is seamlessly integrated into the top of the central instrument panel. This vibrant LCD screen is standard on LTZ and available on LT, and it displays a home page resembling a smartphone screen or tablet, with just a few, large buttons and easily recognizable icons to execute commands.

Functionality is highly intuitive and includes the driver’s five most frequently used apps located along the top of the screen. At the bottom of the screen, users can select music, points of interest, addresses, maps for weather or directions, phone numbers or system commands.

Versatile – just like the Silverado

• Contemporary – Clean, simple interface that’s not overly colorful or busy, geared to busy moms and families.
• Edge – Youth-oriented, dynamic feel with vibrant colors and pop culture-inspired icons.
• Velocity – Sleek, with carbon fiber background appearance and glowing neon, aimed at driving enthusiasts.
